Chad Owens | Hawaii Sports Success & Life Values

Chad Owens is an Oahu local and professional athlete. He attended Roosevelt High School before attending the University of Hawai’i. Owens played for the University of Hawai’i’s Rainbow Warriors as a wide receiver from 2001-2004 where he still holds the record as Hawai’i’s all-time yardage leader. In 2012 Owens was signed as a receiver for The Toronto Argonauts meaning he and his family had to divide their time between Hawai’i and Canada. Owens is married to Rena Owens with two young daughters Sierra-Lynn, Areana and a son; Chad Jr. Owens was signed in 2018 to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats as a free agent for the Canadian Football League. Owens moved with his family back to Hawai’i due to COVID-19. Owens was a 2020 judge in the Teen Miss Hawai’i Contest and now spends his time hosting his new Star-Advertiser sports podcast “Running It Back.” Owens is now working on his podcast and applying for a real estate license.
